Default Live 20/40 TT Hand, Interesting Turn

In light of the recent KK folded boat hand, I thought I'd post this one.

Live hand, so details are a bit fuzzy but here's the gist.
I literally just sat down at the table and posted in LMP (1 off hijack I believe). What can I say, I can't wait to get into these games...it appeared quite good from limited observation (as I missed a hand sitting down) when I finally got a seat.

Really no read on anyone at the table having just sat down, but SB seems a little more serious than the rest of the table...somewhat of a "pissed at the world" face going on. Not sure if he is tilting or that's just his persona.

Anyway, I post and get dealt T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

2 limpers to me and I raise my option, 2 cold callers behind me, the SB calls and the BB calls.

Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to me, I bet, 2 behind me call, SB calls, BB folds, 2 EPs call.

Turn is the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Checked to me, I bet, 2 behind me call, SB checkraises, folded to me, I 3-bet, 1 behind me cold calls, other folds, SB caps...

What's your action? What's your thoughts on SB's possible holdings?

He could have 88 or a big A in which case you are way ahead. I would stay very agressive.

If he has A8 or pairs up on the river that's bad luck and you move on to the next hand.

Since this is live and heads up I am assuming no cap.

I call-down.

If it is capped on the turn, I might get jiggy and raise it up on the river. Not folding though, never folding (ok maybe if an 8 comes on the river).

It's not heads up on the turn, so it is capped at 4 bets per the local casino rules.

I just want to chime in and say raising the river would be very stupid (unless of course its an T).

Do you see why?

Edit: What happened to CC behind you after sb capped?

Edit to Edit: If he's still in the hand, that makes 88 more likely than A8 AT, etc.

Raising the river would be very stupid UNLESS it were an 8?
This makes no sense mmcd, "Do you see why?"

I didn't act yet, he is behind me...action is still on me in the hand I posted!

I changed the 8 to a T in my edit, and I was directing my post towards the people who were saying call and maybe raise the river.

Unless this guy is quite a rock, I don't see how you can fold.

Got ya, I dunno that "Do you see why" line always seems so damn condescending to me it makes me cringe. It's been used so many times on here as a "you are a complete idiot if you can't see why" and I guess it just personally bothers me because I view this as a learning forum, and that just hinders learning and contribution from many players and lurkers here (myself included, probably because its often in responses to my posts...not that I didn't deserve a sanity check, but there are better ways to put it )

Nothing against you man, it's just that damn saying...hits a nerve in me.
