I played this exact hand from UTG with 5 seeing the flop, 3 the turn, and then just 2 of us called the river. I bet all 3 streets and was called by QQ. Not saying this one hand proves anything, just saying it is possible you are best.

I agree, if you check the turn you are much more likely to get a bet or call from someone with a smaller pocket pair or some other crap. If you bet the turn you just open yourself up to get checkraise-bluffed, c-red and in the end you put in just as many bets as if you check called.

A smaller pair isn't a big concern, and getting this hand out of the pot doesn't outweigh the times you are already slaughtered. A much more compelling reason to bet would be to get a flush draw to fold. Plus, by checking the turn, you make it more likely a small pocket pair will bet/call the river.

And yes, betting Js or Ts or KQ is far better than betting Ks here.

I don't think I agree with your flop call, either, but I'm a little sketchy on the details.

Checked to hero who bets and is called in three places, including the big blind

So was my flop call correct? I'm getting about 15 to 1 on it, and there was one player to act, who appeared unlikely to raise. With the implied odds, it was probably correct.

What flop call? You bet the flop?

This has got to go down as one of the worst descriptions of the events of a hand ever. Nothing against you, mike, but cmon buddy give us some info. What position were you? Did you raise limpers or were their cold-callers? What type of player is the BB?

It makes it so much harder to give any constructive thoughts.

I think it is clear in the results post that in reality he was BB with the sixes, but he posted from the KK perspective.

So maybe you should climb down from your high horse or whatever the saying is in english.

You're in Vegas? Why didn't you say something? I might not have been in your game, but I've been playing 30 almost every day there for the past month or so.

Yeah, sorry I didn't notice it was a 30/60 game. I have no right to post about that as I've never played at that level in a casino. But I woulda put the pressure on, thinkin he had a mid pair. What ended up happening? [ QUOTE ]

I skimmed and saw bb had 66 and missed the (me) part. Being erraneous about somebody elses non error is always embarrasing, but it happens. My appologies.

I was not 'on a high horse'. Still, it was a poor way of describing a hand. Notice how I said it was nothing personal, just not enough to constructively work with. I just don't get this high horse business. Nowhere in this hand did I say "i'm better than you or i'm more perfect or i'm great", I just said it was a poor way to post a hand and "more details are needed to give constructive thoughts"
