sore muscles
So I played some hoops the other night for the first time in forever, and now my legs are really killing me.
How long should I wait before playing/running again? |

Re: sore muscles
You are actually better off doing some mild stretching/exercise about 24 hours after.
Keep it about 1/4 the intensity of the original workout. This will reduce your long term soreness immensely. |

Re: sore muscles
You could go again right now. If you were doing squats it would be different. Most of the pain is just exhaustion not micro-tearing.

Re: sore muscles
I'd go ahead and play if you want. Let your body tell you whether to continue. You should loosen up after a couple minutes and have less pain. If you don't loosen up or the pain gets worse I'd stretch and hydrate and wait a day or two before trying again.

Take a break and just whack off for a while. |
