Default Re: Iraqi Constitution Passes was the election Legit?

Especially considering the fact that the Anbar province (a Sunni province) voted 96% "no" (which DVault ignored when replying to my post ).

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't purposely ignore it; I agree, a 96% "no" vote in a Sunni dominated area would seem to make sense - however such one-sided results have (in the past) been a red flag for elections/election results that were conducted/arrived at illegitimately.

I agreed with pretty much everything you said. I was just messing with you. Hence the:

Default The UN

The UN hates us. If they sign off on the elections then they are probably pretty good.

And as someone pointed out, it's not that surprising in the Kurdish province.

>>99 percent? Makes you wonder.<<

Look, the Bush administration is incompetent in many respects - they completely blew the post-war Iraq plan, their foreign policy in toto has been a disaster, they've done massive structural economic damage with their gross profligacy, they suck at covering up criminal conspiracies, etc. etc. etc.

But the one thing these boys *can* do is rig a election. This one was a slam-dunk.
