Getting STUCK With Socially Awkward People

Didn't want to hijack...

Change the situation from being invited to do stuff to being at a social event and the same person insists on hanging around you as if you are old friends. You have no animosity towards them, and you have some tact, so being outright rude is out of the question. How do you make it clear that you haven't changed seats 8 times because you wanted to try all the different chairs?

"I hear they have shrimp/lobster/sirloin steak" get up as if ur gonna go get it, if he/she follows "oooh dont come with me, dont want to alert people about the beef/shrimp/lobster..that way theres more for us."
