Re: 5/10 ps... interesting turn decision versus a good fish
what fslexcduck said.
standard i may be ahead but if i'm not i'm crushed but i have a lot of outs so i want to see another card so the other guy doesn't check raise the hell out of me check situation. plus it exercises pot control so you can pay off a river bet without too much worry whatever comes off. |

Re: 5/10 ps... interesting turn decision versus a good fish
By good fish I meant someone who is known to not be a big winner at all but supposedly was not awful... As the results show this was not really true (and he was awful donkey). But I wanted to see if check behind was standard (assuming he was decent like I thought at the start of the hand). I bet and almost immediately afterward I wished I had checked behind... this seemed by far the best line as I thought about it. Then he called me down with A high and made me want to reconsider. Not being results oriented... just wondering if you think turn bet is more +EV than a turn check (I obviously check if he has ~1k behind on turn, but he had only $687). I later played some more with this opponent and he made some more awful plays... in the future I definitely bet in this spot vs. him but I think I should check behind vs. your average unknown.

Re: 5/10 ps... interesting turn decision versus a good fish
fwiw and this is results oriented also but if he is known to make big calls anyway on your "missed flush draw" checking behind then overbetting pot all in on river works just the same.
