Default 10/20 - KK drawing (almost) dead on the flop?

10/20 (6 max) game on PP. Villain is this case is around a 45/20/2, he was running hot at the time and playing even more hands than normal the last few orbits.

I have Ks Kd in EP, I raise, Button 3-bets, blinds fold, I call. So its head to head.

Flop: 7h 9h 2h

I bet, he raises, I call.

Turn: Jc

I bet, he raises, I call.

River: Qs

I check, he bets, I call.

Comments on all streets greatly appretiated.

Why not cap preflop? For deception?

Flop is fine.

Why not 3-bet the turn? You think you are behind here given your read? I think against an unknown given the deceptive preflop noncap I would 3-bet the turn. Against a player with the read you give shouldn't it be automatic?

River meh. You gave up on the turn.

Definetly cap this preflop. I tend to either go crazy on this flop or just check/raise a non-heart turn (assuming you haven't seen this guy taking free cards). As it is you should 3-bet this turn, without a doubt. If he caps then i'll allow you to check/call the river, otherwise you have to lead .

do you see any value at all in not capping preflop against this player? he is raising with a wide variety of hands preflop for sure, but deception might be the course for extracting alot of bets to the river.

Quite the opposite actually. The fact that he is 40/20/2 and is playing alot of hands lately since he's been hot tells me that the flop cap will probably mean little to him in terms of impeding action throughout the hand. As it is, you extracted fewer bets post-flop then you should have anyways.

In the name of extracting as many bets as I can, I cap this pf. You say you want to be deceptive to extract bets on the later streets, but all you do is call down on turn and river. The line seems too weak.

I definately agree I should have three bet the turn, but I don't think the action would have happened this way if I had capped preflop.
