I was coming home tonight from the mall(yes, "the mall" as there is only one in Meridian) when the old people in the Buick Roadmaster in front of me slammed on the brakes to look at 1000s of Christmas Lights in some schmuck's yard. I damn near hit them.

In a time of a national energy crisis do we really need people in a Bigger and Better Keeping up with the Joneses spewage use of electricity.

I mean yeah it is christmas, and yes we are a nation of excess but come on it looked like LightBrite on Crystal Meth.

Some say it is the spirit of christmas, we'll I say in the spirit of christmas how about giving me some cheap propane!

I say put up santa, the easter bunny, a menorah, the flag, cupid, a leprechaun, a pumpkin, a turkey, wedding bells, a witch, a cross, and the Tooth Fairy, with a big lighted sign that says "Happy [censored] Whatever!"
