Default Weird email from PayPal, scam?

Dear XXXXXXXX@hotmail.com

We recently noticed one or more attempts to log in to your PayPal account
from a different IP address.

If you recently accessed your account while traveling, the unusual log in

the log ins, please visit PayPal as soon as possible to check-up your

Looks legit to me, but if you dont have an account I dont know. I would call them on one of those telephones I hear so much about if you are concerned.

Since you don't have a PayPal account, I think it is likely a scam email. When you hit on the link it is probable the site installed spyware or a keylogger on your machine. Never click on a link sent to you through email.

Run a spyware sweep with Ad-aware or equivalent (or better) and install Process Guard and/or Advnaced Anti Keylogger from spydex.com. You may want to change all your passwords as well.

forward it to spoof@paypal.com smae with ebay stuff like that. If you dont have an account, you should be verifying your info? NO!. ebay and paypal have been getting hit hard with spoofs like this, they say to always use your browser or favorites to go to their site, never click on a link.

If they dont address you by name (not "Dear valued customer" or "Dear xxxxx@hotmail.com"), its a false e-mail.
