OK Fold
I have AA, and a slightly loose TAG (I don't remember, but say he's around 34/18) calls my hijack open raise from the CO, and the button and blinds fold.
headsup for 5 bets Flop comes QTxr. I bet and the CO raises. I decide to checkraise the turn and maybe make him fold a 5 outer. but then the turn is a [censored] J, so I check-call and the river is a [censored] 9, so I check-fold |

Re: OK Fold
I'd still cr the turn. If I didn't I'm showing it down at river.

Re: OK Fold
Seems like you're trying to get a bit too fancy on the turn in a lot of these hands. In this one, after he raises the flop, my goal is value and not trying to make him fold a 5-outer, especially since the pot is only 4BB on the turn. The river fold is probably good because all you're beating is AQ and he'd likely 3-bet that preflop.

Re: OK Fold
dont you want him calling the turn with a 5 outter?
So on the turn you are basically scared of QJ and JT? yes? If he will play those 2 hands that way on the flop, then he could just as easily have KJ AT KT KQ? Why not still raise, QJ or JT prolly doesnt 3 bet given the board I like the river fold |

Re: OK Fold
I don't know why I said the 5 outer thing. that didn't make sense. it was just like a filler thing to add in and it sounded good at the time

Re: OK Fold
Yeah. This is why I 3-bet the flop.
