That river card isn't that awful. Call, especially given your read (or lack thereof).

Re: 10/20 Awful River Card
You're right I guess it isnt that bad, it just seems like everytime that ace hits like that I'm always beat, it could just be variance though.

Re: 10/20 Awful River Card
I much prefer betting the river and folding to a raise given our limited knowledge of this guy.
P.S. I am strongly opposed to check/folding. |

Re: 10/20 Awful River Card
if he'll pay you off with K9, KT, JT sorts of hands I like betting better too. Do you think he would? I think JQ is calling for sure.

Re: 10/20 Awful River Card
Call, you only have to win the pot about 10% of the time for a call to be correct. Given that he is very agressive... Call.

Re: 10/20 Awful River Card
He'd have to be awfully "creative" to raise the river as a bluff, and a relative unknown isn't often enough to make me worry about folding.
Given what we know of him, I believe he'll call more often than he'll bet. I almost never try to induce bluffs out of position without a clear read that the guy is bluff-happy. He won't bluff with QJ. He might value bet it, but he'll almost surely call with it. |

[/ QUOTE ] Given the fact that he seems so aggro preflop it would make me think that he would bet here a lot more than he would call. I think I like this line a lot against someone who isn't very aggro (this guy may not be though, remember we dont have much of a read that he is aggro) Scags |
