Re: PS $11, first hand - AA flops bad
I think this is pretty much fine, but I'm torn about the push on the river. Will he really call a set or two pair here, given that both flush and straight possibilities (and the straight one with just the card you would have raised with pf) out? I can't honestly see it myself, though if he really has hit running clubs, he's a lucky bastard.
Meh, I just think pushing, the best you are going to get is a split. I think a call is marginally better. |

I like just calling here better, he's probably not going to call you without an ace and you lose the times he has AK[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or AQ[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Re: PS $11, first hand - AA flops bad
1) I think he might call with a 9, and maybe even with some two pair hands. Maybe. I agree it's pretty unlikely, but . . .
2) . . . I think it's very, very unlikely that he picked up the backdoor flush draw. I agree with you guys that most of the time it will be a split, and against a player I thought was reasonably good I just call behind, but I think an unknown at the $11s is somewhat more likely to pay me with inferior hands than show up with two clubs here. I'd have already known if he had A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], for example. EDIT: The thing I was most curious was whether everybody else checked behind on the turn as well. |

yeah, i wouldn't have raised that river. since he lead out at you, he at least has the ace. no sense in raising for what you hope will be a chop (he's not calling with a 9). as for the check turn, i'm ok with it.
