Books to read...in what order?

I am currently reading Theory of Poker - about halfway through it - and want to know where to go from there.

Suggestions? Let me know what books you think are more important and what order to read them

If I was guessing, it would be

1. Theory of Poker
2. Small Stakes Hold Em
3. Hold Em for Advanced Players
4. ?????

After perusing some of your other posts, I'd recommend a beginning book to give you a better foundation. Ed Millers beginning book (though I haven't read it yet, Everyone trusts Ed for good reasons) or Lee Jones. Btw...Many of us have read multiple beginner books in the past.

SSHE will be more applicable to the games you will be playing in.

Then HEPFAP

Then Mid Limit Holdem.

Clark had a good list/order that he used. I'm sure someone has it bookmarked.

I have perused some of the beginning books, but I found that, while there were some excellent concepts that I could learn, about 80% of it was material I already know fairly well - and that made it tough to read.

I would rather read Theory of Poker and Small Stakes Hold Em twice - I think I would get more value out of them.

FWIW: I would add Mason Malmuth's Gambling Theory and Other Topics and Al Schoonmaker's Psychology of Poker. I learned a great deal from each of these that was not well-covered in the other books mentioned.

Harrington on Hold'Em, vols 1&2 transformed my game, especially no limit tourneys.
