i don't like it. i think with your hand and your stack size, this could be a good spot to raise to 150 with probably one caller and Stop N Go the flop.

Yeh I kinda regret pushing but here are the upsides (for argument sake), You'll often get called by a weaker ace (biggest upside obviously) your short ish and don't need to worry about missing a flop and if its folded around you still pick up the blinds. I'm thinking raise it to 150-200 and poosh any flop without an ace or king is a better play. If you hit then check and hope you can call and all in or check raise. If its checked behind move in the turn. Oh wait why didn't I do that this time...crap

I was going to post this initially but didn't feel like getting flamed. But I think raising is better, limping is second, and pushing is the worst.

Nick B posted a good response to something like this recently.

Essentially, pushing gurantees that you get called by only the best hands. Whereas raising, and then getting pushed in over you, opens up the range of hands against you.

I did some math on this recently. On the $33s, the typical reraise allin hand range is 66+/AQ+ (although I have seen wider). Furthermore, the results essentially exposed which hands I'd raise with on L3 and call an allin. Here's the results:

JJ: 58% card equity
TT: 53% card equity
99: 48% card equity
AKo: 51% card equity

So, essentially, with AKo, you're a coinflip against my range. You have a very healthy stack preflop. So, preflop, I'd decide if you're willing to call an allin. If not, I'd raise only to t125. If yes, then I'd raise to t175. That way, in general, you're getting 1.3+:1 pot odds to call.

Sorry if this looks a little discombobulated, but it's just a small piece of my work.

As to avoiding postflop play, that's just foolish.

henceforth, raise to t150 with probably one caller, then Stop N Go all-in the flop.
