River: ($11.20) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $11.20

Results in white below:
Hero has Ah 6h (flush, ace high).
Villain has Js Jh (straight, jack high).
Outcome: Hero wins $11.20.

I realize the preflop call would have made more sense with a deeper stack in front of me, but the table had been tight and i was pretty sure I would have all limpers calling behind me.

What I'm wondering is, does my money go in with two cards to come to isolate and eliminate positional considerations (getting 4.2:1 or better depending on # of callers) or do i wait for a bet or possible free turn card and make the decision there?

Also I'm not sure if this post is too trivial to even discuss on this board so don't flame me, its my first post, just wanna make sure I'm analyzing this right.

Thanks,
Steve

why are you calling half of your stack off pre-flop with Axs if youre not going to get the rest in when you 'hit' your 'flush draw'

you cant really 'isolate' when the most you can bet is 1/3 of the pot

i really think this post is trivial, as most of us arent sitting with 15xBB at a table and taking things seriously

well obviously the conditions are less than ideal, this was only my 8th hand and i lost approx. $5 on the previous hand when i flopped a straight draw that missed in bb.

silly me didnt think to sit out and reload, or think of relative stack sizes when the action came to me.

next time ill just buy in for max (duh) and not post crap hands, but i was mostly interested in messing with the hand converter and hadnt seen anything too interesting tonight.

The table was tight and you expect the limpers to call? I don't really get that. Also - the table was tight, so you call a raise with A6s?

What I gather from the original post, and your second post saying how you lost $5 on a straight draw that didn't hit, I get the impression you're playing unprofitable draws.

Fold or push preflop, and I'd fold in a second. (Then I would reload.)

Axs from SB sucks, even hopelessly shortstacked, and especially against a strong raise. Why call half your stack to play a drawing hand OOP? Get it all in there if you have to do something, but you're a dog to the typical range of hands held by a raising MP player, and you have basically no fold equity -- you know he's calling your push.

It's a cash game -- fold, reload and wait for a better spot.

the limpers had been calling raises preflop, and limping with fairly strong hands (for example the villian limped and called PF with JJ)

I was basically folding if there weren't two hearts on the flop, call me dumb because i know it was probably -------------------------EV.

so what exactly are you looking for critique on? theres nothing to be commented on this hand, because you are at 15 BBs, you know your pre-flop call was atrocious, and post-flop theres no line thats better than another, except folding is bad
