Default AA Under Pressure

3/6 NL, 6-Handed, Empire

BB has played tight so far. He bought in for $150, doubled up once, and then won a few small pots in a row to get $430 in chips.

Button has been doing alot of calling with marginal cards. He's hit a few weak flush draws to keep his head above water. He has about $350 to start the hand.

I cover and have been playing tight-agg for the last 6 orbits or so.

I open UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for $20. Button calls as does the BB. 3 to a flop of:

Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($60)

BB leads for $30. I pop it to $90. Button cold calls $90. BB now minraises to $150.

WTF!?

How did he play that hand?

Most likely peace it on the flop.

Holla.

He doubled up with AK vs QQ all preflop. Someone open-raised a standard amount, he came over the top for pot, opener sets him in, he calls.

I think this is a pretty easy fold.

I think the only had you are ahead at this point is AQ and maybe KK (but I doubt this).

Looks like a fold is in order.

I shoulda mucked, but got stubborn and pushed. Button folded. The minraiser insta, and I mean insta-called.

He flips over AQ and my hand is good.

I usually muck in this spot too, then I began to wonder how much money I'm leaving on the table to tight players like this one who overvalue their hands after the flop.......

Of course I made a note on him after the hand, but after 3 hours of play with the guy I had no clue that he'd play TPTK like this. Scary.
