Default mixed game - blind structure?

Friend of mine wants to play mixed games in our home games. Now I´m wondering, what do you do when you go, say, from 7Stud to Omaha when it comes to the blinds? Highcard for dealer again?
Also, do you change games after every hand, after every round, or couple of rounds?
Thanks for ur input!

You could play one type of game per orbit or do dealers choice. Our $1/$2 dealers choice home game recently went from $.50 antes to $0.50/$1 blinds. Worked fine for us. A little less money in the pot to start, but we save an hour a night not asking "who forgot to ante"?

I would go at least two rounds- give you some time at each game.

Rather than have everyone ante, have the dealer ante the proper amount for all. Treat it as dead money that gets pulled from their stack even if they aren't there. It makes it a lot easier, because everyone else looks for the pot-building ante and it's obvious who owes.

In my home game we play a round of a chosen game then another player picks a game if we are playing an ante game then dealer antes for everyone (we play 25c blinds so the dealer just usually antes 25c.)

Here's what we do:
For blind games they post $1 and $2.
Than for the ante games we simply have the same people post blinds, but move them into the pot and they become antes. I don't know if this is the "best" way to do it, but it's worked for us just fine. We figure that if everyone was going to ante .25 or .50 there would be $2 and $4 in the middle anyway.
