I'm thinking about getting this. My gf has been using it for a while and it hasn't screwed up her computer at all yet. Does anyone have any bad reviews? I was traumatized by having my computer absolutely destroyed by kazaa a year ago, and I really couldn't afford to lose the important stuff on my comp now (especially my PT database and my SNG spreadsheets). I really want free music again though.

I would't worry about Limewire, but if you don't mind spending a couple hundred bucks, I would reccomend having seperate CPUs for poker and surfing.

If you don't mind spending a couple hundred bucks, just stick with iTunes. I've pretty much determined, and your past history demonstrates, that downloading from P2P sites is like walking through a shooting range wearing a speedo -- you're gonna get it sooner or later (probably sooner).

Jack of Arcades turned me onto Soulseek and I've been finding lots of obscure albums I've been looking for for awhile. If you do get it, I'd say get privelages too, as I think it has sped up my getting to the front of queues. Privileges = $5 donation for a month. Privileges move you in front of any non-privileged user on the queues.

If you do end up using it, send a message to Ogrodek and I'll hook you up (at least if you like rock or electronic music).

When I use limewire it completely ties up my machine. Does it do this to anyone else? I mean like nothing else on my machine will work when limewire is running.
