Way Ahead/Way Behind here?
3/6 live game, typical loose game with a few reads
Hero is UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero raises and get 4 callers. Flop is KK5 rainbow. With this crew, it really could be anything, but I led out and got raised by one of the tighter players at the table. Do I just abandon ship here? Was this a WA/WB situation where I should have just check/called, check/called, bet/folded? It's a multi-way pot, so I'm not sure this situation applies. |

Re: Way Ahead/Way Behind here?
Is 3bet and fold to a cap an option?

unless it becomes painfully obvious that somebody has a king, I am doing everything I can to get to SD here.
people will be raising pocket pairs here plenty often among other things |

Re: Way Ahead/Way Behind here?
Might be worth calling down here. Would a flop call and turn donk serve any good purpose here?

Just call down? If it was any other player, I would have done that, but this guy was Rocky McRock, always having some big hand when he raised, pre-flop or otherwise. As to the other suggestions, I suppose I COULD have done all those (3-bet and fold to a cap?) or call and donk-bet, but those aren't a regular part of my arsenal. When am I supposed to do this? I guess I'm the one asking the questions still, trying to figure out when it was appropriate to do these things. |
