Default What level should i play at?

What's the correct level to play at with say a $100 bankroll? This refers to online play. What is a wise buy-in for tourneys and also ring-games?

$500NL, just wait for AA and go all-in. It works!

I'll have to PM xorbie to insert "MUST READ BEFORE POSTING" into my FAQ title.

I'd recommend .05/.10. That's where I started with my original $100 deposit and I had no problems despite having almost zero experience and basing my strategy almost entirely on what I saw on TV. People usually say 20 buyins is good and that's what I've always followed, which would make you slightly under-rolled for .05/.10, but at those levels I think that's alright. The alternative would be to spend weeks grinding out pennies at .01/.02, which just seems like a waste of time to me. You'd only have 4 buyins at .1/.25 though, which is far too few, especially if you're new to online poker.

Take a shot at NL400. If you lose it you can put in fresh money.
