Default K2s blind defense. Comments in blue.

CO is 28/10/1.2 over 800 hands and he attempts a blind steal 40% of the time and goes to showdown 31% of the time.

Party Poker 10 handed

Preflop: Jeff is BB with 2c, Kc.
6 folds, CO raises, 2 folds, Jeff calls.

CO is aggressive with late position steals. My equity is more than good enough to call and my hand is easy to play post flop.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Ad, 3d, 2h (2 players)
Jeff checks, CO bets, Jeff calls.

This is not the flop I was hoping for, but the scare card will may this relatively passive player to give me a free card on the turn. Not to mention I can improve to trip 2s or Kings up and extract 3 BBs from Ax.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 4h (2 players)
Jeff checks, CO checks.

Nothing changed when the four hit. If he bet the turn, I would fold.

River: (3.25 BB) Td (2 players)
Jeff bets...

The Td is a good scare card. I bet because I think I induce a better hand to fold more often than I am inducing a bluff from this player.

I'm really bad at blind defense/attack/poker in general, but I don't understand the river bet. What hand are you bluffing out that he checked through on the turn?

66-99, random trashy pairs, perhaps a pair of tens but less likely.

Ok, I just figured he'd bet all those hands on the turn also.

Jeff, heads up out of position we are normally playing pair poker and I have a pair. I think if he's a thinking, player you have to play your hand like you have a pair and not give him a free card on the flop or turn. Your pair is just too vulnerable. This is also the problem of playing things with a 2 or 3 in them.

As it played depending on your image betting hte river could be great or terribly wrong, it also depends on how much of a hand reader/aware player you are against. Most aggressive players check the turn there with a showdown hand that they don't want to put much more money in on, expecting that you'll bluff at the pot often enough to make it profitable to call since you are likely seen as aggressive.

Also if he steals 40% of the time, I hope you are also working in quite a few 3 bets preflop. He really needs to contribute a bit more if he's playing that much crap.

If he checked behind the turn with a med pair, it was to get to showdown cheaply. I don't think he will fold this 1 time in 100.

I don't think he will call this with a worse hand very often, it's probably better to induce a bluff from a hand like QJ.
