Default Warning: Small pot and undramatic

30-60 at canterbury full game good game. Im in the SB with the Jc3c. 2 players limp i complete and bb checks.

Flop comes 9c 5c 5h. I bet, BB raises both other players fold.

King of diamonds on the turn (9c 5c 5h Kd). I check and BB quickly checks. BB is a very bad player who plays 40-50% of his hands, is pretty non aggressive and doesnt bluff much but is capable of a bluff. But when he checks behind I am 95% sure he flopped a flush draw.

K of spades on the river (9c 5c 5h Kd Ks). $240 in the pot. Whats my play and why?

My instinct says check-raise. If you bet, he calls with ace high clubs i'm almost sure and folds the clubs you beat.

If you check and call he could beat you with the Q of clubs and he just might muck ace high clubs. Checking and calling is better than checking and folding or betting, but I still think a c/r is the best play. I'll think about it more but that's my innitial reaction.

that simple? the board is double paired. take that into consideration? his queen high flush draw might look good to him to call with on the river. But will he value bet with queen high or "bluff" with queen high.

I think betting is better, after thinking about it long and hard. I can only think of one scenario where checkraising is better and that's when he has ace high flush draw, and even then, he may make a curiosity call if you check raise him. I think with your image if you bet he'll fold q-high almost always (in a general statement w/o knowing the exact person you're referring to).

i think check-call is right. im quite surprised by BKs thinking that checkraising to bluff out a Q of clubs is a strong play, considering that i think most players would check down the queen of clubs. a strong player would probably value bet his ace here, but i dont think many weak players will.

Is there no chance he has a 9 and checked the turn fearing that you want to CR with a K or 5?

I think this is pretty interesting and want to think about it more tommorow, going on the assumption that he has a flushdraw, when I have more time.

Check and Call... He will probably check Q or A high and bet the better hands as well as sometimes as a bluff.

Why would you want to check call against this opponent he is described as not being a habitual bluffer.
