Default Which 20\" monitor to buy?

I'm considering getting a 20" 1600x1200 pixels LCD monitor. Are there any recommendations? Included in my price range are e.g. Benq FP2091, Viewsonic VP201S, and Viewsonic VP201B. Possibly also Samsung 213T, even though it's a little more expensive.

I think dell makes a 20" LCD, not sure though haven't seen much talk about it.

Datorhandel.com seems to sell Viewsonic 201 for 835 EUR. I bought mine from Germany few months a go and are VERY satisfied with this monitor. I can really recommend this one. I have several friends having this monitor and they like the monitor as much as I do.

Samsung 213T is probably a good choice too, but a little bit more expensive.

In Europe, the Dell 2001FP is ridiciously expensive ($600 with coupons in US, normal price $1200 here in Europe) compared to the states, but so are all the computer and home enterainment stuff.

I have a Samsung 213T LCD next to a Viewsonic Professional Series 22" P225F CRT. The screen of he Samsung is MUCH larger than the CRT and much easier to read in 1600 by 1200. My understanding is that the Samsung is also about 11% larger than the Dell 2100 everyone here raves about, although the refresh isn't as fast for gamers (who should probably use a CRT anyway).

I also tested for dead pixels and couldn't find a single one. Good product if a bit pricey (about $900 after rebates).

Screen door effect disappears if you sit 1.5X width away from your LCD. So for the dells at 30" away from the monitor you shouldn't notice SDE (although I game and sit closer than that and still haven't noticed it).

Remember, before you respond, that he is Canadian . . . and it is cold up here in the winter . . . so certain parts of the body tend to work a little slower . . .
