Default river bet?

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
4 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (2 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (2 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (4 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero ?

doesn't ace high or pocket pair raise preflop most of the time or at least bet flop most of time.

Ithink check is correct.
A hand like A2 or A7 or PP < 9 bets the turn here.

You will only be called by a better hand.

I might be wrong,

/Robert

I say bet. He may just be firing out on the flop to get you to fold and may have picked up either a flush draw or straight draw on the turn.

Very easy bet. He calls with worse pair 8's, pair 7's, pair deuces all day long. What better hands does he hold here, anyway?
