We are talking about poker players, not serious athletes.
And as a serious runner, i would guess that 1/1000 of the general population could run a 4:30 MILE.

I heard that Ted Forrest once bet that he could walk from the Commerce Casino to Bellagio in under 24 hours. Does anybody know what happened?

unless theres some scam to this bet, performing that feat would be impossible.

On the Huck Seed mile bet: His brother, Cotton Seed, told me the story a long time ago. I thought the bet was that he had 1 year to run a 4 minute mile, and with a month left, he was a few seconds away. I'm almost certain that Cotton said he was able to settle the bet for $30k.

You realize that $10K is just under 1BB in the big game?

[/ QUOTE ]

If by just under you mean just over since the big game is 4/8000 if i'm not
mistaken.

there was a bet between forrest and hennigan i believe that involved Cotton Seed being able to run from LA to Vegas in a certain amount of time. . .
Cotton pulled his Achilies tendon some 75 miles into the trip.

also Forrest took some dumb wager that he could run a marathon with zero
training on the UNLV track in the LV heat. he did it, it had to be under some
four hours or some sh1t. He had heat exaustion and ended up in the hospital.

I guess he has some permanent injury from a prop bet of some kind. i'll try
to find that story again.
