Aquariums?
Anyone here have a aqaurium? I have a 10 gallon tank, but was recently given a 50 gallon. Gonna be freshwater. I got no idea what I need, or even what some of the stuff is.
Undergravel filter (filter under the gravel?) Hows it work? Powerheads. What do they do? Do I need them? I hear people talk about things like bio-wheels and wet/dry filtration... And I'm totally lost. Some gimme a hand.

You will have better luck getting info on this website.
P.S. Do not use an undergravel filter. They are horrible. Basically they suck all the fish poop beneath the gravel and even if you vacuum the gravel you will never get it all out. I had one in my tank for the past 3 years and finally decided to take it out and replace it with a far superior external canister filter. Good thing I had a buncha latex gloves otherwise I don't think I would have ever gotten the fish crap stains off of my hands. After removing the gravel, the bottom 2" of water was pitch black. That stuff will eventually kill all your fish. UGF = bad.
