Ed Miller Small Stack application to a time charge game
So i bought getting started in holdem since there has been a decent amount of discussion in about the small stack system.
I tried the system for a few hundred hands, and it works, not killing the game obviously, but it works. my qyestion is, with obviously playing very few hands, is this system a workable strategy in a time charge game? i think its a clear no in a $100max 1/2 blind $6/half hour game, but what about a $100min 2/2/5 $8/half game? what would your buyin be here 150? |

Re: Ed Miller Small Stack application to a time charge game
Just anecdotally, I used this system at a 2/5 200max NL game at the Trump boat in Gary, IN. The time charge is $7/30min.
When you're buying in for $50, taking $14 an hour out of your stack is brutal. but I did end up running my $50 into $321, so all I can say is that it is *possible* to make it work. I tripped up to $150 using the system and then I loosened up a little to more my regular game and then doubled. I really enjoy playing with other people's money. And that's what I tell people when they query me about my lame-ass buy-in. |
