Congrats on a great run Greg, that was a tough beat.

Could you (or someone else with a clue) please elaborate on this comment?

Since this situation met absolutely every requirement for the stop-and-go play, that is what I did.

I'm familiar with the stop-and-go, which gives someone a chance to fold post-flop, but not sure of the correct situations for it.

Again, great job and continued success.

a certain congratulations are in order from me. i was rooting for you the entire time along with a close second ivey as my choice for who the champ should be.

early in the tournament when you first started to lead the pack, i was in total astonishment of your latest accomplishment. i always knew you were a great tournament player, but this performance placed you at a new level in my book.

I am one of those young players that you're talking about and I really admire your integrity. You have to be one of the most stand up poker players in the world and I am trying to incorporate your courtesy and good attitude in my own table demeanor. Thanks for serving as such a great example of a champ in 04. gl

fine, in risk of busting as a dog?

I'm personally more interested in the hands from the day before where you fought from about 500,000 to the stack you had.

Great luck over the next year to you Greg. I was pulling for ya. Nice showing in this ME and an awesome accomplishment! Get some rest or maybe a vacation, take care of your family and come back and kick some butt. There is much more for you to accomplish and you have what it takes, that's obvious to us onlookers.

Much respect to you. Had hoped to see you at the final table breaking "the Mouth."

Default A true champion

Hi Greg,

Congratulations on your terrific run. Your performance in the last two WSOP's is truly impressive, but what really stands out to me is that you are even better person than you are a poker player (which is quite a complement given how well you play poker!).

You have handled yourself like a true champion and willingly made yourself an ambassador for the game of poker, even though I am sure there were times when you probably would have preferred to be left alone.

One of the first "long" posts I read at twoplustwo.com was when you posted a summary from one of the major Foxwoods tournaments. I remember studying that post carefully and, after analyzing it carefully, realizing that I had stumbled across some good advice from an obviously good player.

So let me be counted among the many who are proud of your accomplishments and who you are as a person. I wish you and your family the best.

Mike
