Default Powerball question

One question...How high would the powerball jackpot have to be for you to have pot odds to buy one ticket. Just a funny question I was thinking about.

1 zillion dollars

that situation will probably never occur, because the higher the jackpot gets, the more people play, and then there's the chance you win but you have to split with someone.

At around $100m, I'll toss in $1. The odds are 120m to 1 to win the jackpot, but there are lesser ways to win as well. I accept that I'm probably not getting the right odds, but $1 is so insignificant

Try using search before posting. This question was just answered last week here:

Lottery

Essentially, it is theoretically possible for the bet to be +EV, but in practice it rarely if ever is.
