Default Satellites??

I read an article on another website about a gentleman who makes a large amount of his income by playing single table satellites. Can someone help me out with the details on how this works? I suppose you could sell your tourney seat, but can you also just cash in the seat instead of playing in the tournament? Just thought this was interesting, any comments on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks.

Some places require you to play the first seat you win, others do not... After the first though, all casinos allow you to sell your seats to others, and if you're patient you'll be able to get 95% of its value...

Thanks. I think I'll move this to the 1-table tourney forum maybe I'll get more responses there.

I've been playing in single table satalites at the WPO in Tunica for the last 6 or so years. A $65 single pays one $500 chip and $50 cash. The $130's pay two $500 chips and $100 cash. The chips are fairly easy to sell at face value and real easy to sell for less. I've never sold mine for less than face. Deals can be made when it gets to heads up if thats what you want to do. Second place pays nothing so it's all in how you feel and how you are in chips. Satalites can be fun and profitable for the above avarage player.
