Am I alone in my thinking that casino whoring is a load of crap?

I should have seen the flaming coming, but it's my initial impression. Not trying to knock anybodies windfall. Since it seems the overwhelming majority feels much differently- perhaps I should give it another try. I tried Planet Luck-and as you can guess I busted out. I adhered strictly to WOD guide. Flat betting $2 a hand. I thought it was VERY boring and it took quite a while. The no down load version wasn't working. So I had to download. The download versions all have the dealer hitting soft 17. So then I go to Starluck- and it's like DejaVu-Java doesn't work, and so many miracle 21's for the dealer. I realize there is variance, but it got old real quick. Plus- customer service was very poor. Obviously- there are more talented black jack players than I [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Even a trained monkey could make money casino whoring...I guess you haven't been trained yet. Seriously though, go to wizardofodds.com and print out a blackjack strategy sheet and play the hands. For Planetluck and Starluck I got $170 out of the potential $200 in bonuses and I felt like I ran exceptionally bad. Something tells me that you got pissed off and stopped following your chart because you were losing and/or raised your bets at some point. Follow the chart, bet $1/hand, and keep track of your money wagered so you don't wager more than the minimum and you'll make money.

Casino whoring (and poker bonus whoring) saved my variance stricken ass. I actually was five bucks from busting on the Planetluck deal, too. In spite of that (plus the $247 Shogun Casino [censored] me out of) I knocked down the easiest $2000 grand in my life in a few weeks. It would have been quicker if I wasn't so lazy. Now, if I could only muster up the courage for stickies...

This was clearly -EV. Why would you not try everything you could to get the download versions working? Reinstall Java, try different browsers? Why just suck it up and play the download version? That's just dumb....hence you're dumb.

Since the EV of these 2 bonuses is right around $185, you did not run anything close to exceptionally bad. You did not even run bad...
