I think the KEY to everything is:

2) If under 10BB, push/steal to survive if it's +EV (ie: use ICM).

Obviously you push when you have good cards. but MOST of the time you're going to get junk. ALOT more often than not, you'll get blinded out if you're just going to wait for a good hand, or even an ok hand, to push with.

Understand +EV. Then you'll know when it's correct to push with 59o, and you'll maximize your chances of making ITM.

IMO reads are extremely important at every level. I mean...reads are so central to what poker is....once you have a read, many if not most Party-SnG decisions are conceptually trivial.

I'm in transition to the 50s - can you expand on what you mean by fancy plays. HHs would be good.

I agree 100%. My play at the 33s has improved markedly since I've dropped back to playing fewer tables in order to pick up reads.

Level 3, several limpers to you in the BB. You look down and see you have trash cards and a stack of t500. You push to pick up the pot (aka the PVS).

30+3:
1) Stay tight
2) If under 10BB, push/steal to survive if it's +EV (ie: use ICM).
3) Do not get fancy: No pvs, no impetus, no stop n go, etc. They will call.

I hate to keep beating this dead horse, but stop and goes work better at the lower levels than the upper levels, not the other way around.

At the lower levels: Damn, I didn't get my A or K. He must have something, he's putting all his chips in the pot. What are the chances I'll get an Ace or King on the turn. I better fold -- I don't want to lose another 300 chips.

At the higher levels: That bastard is pulling a stop and go on me. I'm calling his ass.
