Default WSOP Chips

Has anyone seen the WSOP chips that are currently offered on ebay? I'm interested in them, but am wondering if they're decent quality.

The chip sets seem pretty new (as opposed to the sample sets which have been available since the series and they're different than the ones offered in the official WSOP store) and I can't find a review. Thanks for any info.

There is a group buy going on right now for 2005 WSOP Chipco Replicas chips. They are chipco chips which are very good quality.

I think the group buy is closing at the end of this week.

Thanks for the link. I like the design of the 2005 chips and saw the vote regarding whether they would be similar. The chips I was looking at are here:

I like the actual logo on them, so I'm not sure if I'd do the group buy. I was just questioning whether the auction was legit and the chips were decent quality since these chips aren't the ones even pictured on the WSOP site.

I cant say for sure but I think the chips on ebay are of the quality of the Dice chips. I am not sure though.

are these the same chips as the ones reviewed here?

see the review and video under the coin centered WSOP chips.

Basically, I'm wondering if these are copies of the Bud Jones chips used at the real WSOP...

Nope, they are just crappy dice chips I believe, with a different design.

I've seen the official WSOP chip sets when I was at the Rio last August. While not exact replicas of the 2004 WSOP chips, these Chipco versions are far superior in my opinion.

I just got some samples today. There are better than dice chips but not nearly as nice as the Chipco and Paulson samples (of course!). So, I think the best way to go about chip selection is to just pick your price point and get samples of whats available for that amount. Personally, I think $200 (shipped) is a little high for these chips. If they were $125 or so, I think they'd be a good deal.

good luck.

I was just over at chiptalk.net and I see there is a group buy going on for a 2005 WSOP like set of chipcos at a pretty nice price. Here is a link if interested:
