Just a funny hand I thought I would post. I'm pretty sure this was a 2+2'er, as his name closely resembles one from the Micro boards, but it may not be. Do you feel like fessing up to slowplaying the flopped nuts on a very draw-heavy board? Would any of you slowplayed in this situation? It's not like I was going anywhere if raised, so there wasnt much he could have done, but still, you get what I'm trying to say.

I think your flop bet really really sucks, FWIW, and he played his hand pretty well.

12 outs to the nuts with 2 cards to come, plus a bet for some information as to where I may be standing as it is. You don't like it?

The only reason you bet here is because A) you think you have the best hand, or B) you can make a better hand fold. Neither is the case here. Rob |

[ QUOTE ] plus a bet for some information [/ QUOTE ] This is one of the most overused phrases and techniques in low limit hold'em. Unlearn it. [/ QUOTE ] This was only a small added benefit that I included with my draws. I NEVER make this as a play for the value in itself. If my equity is 50%, would the bet not be OK then as it does have a chance of making him fold (even if this chance is ~1%) it is still marginally +EV. |

I don't like your flop bet. Check-call. Your "bet for information" will turn into "two bets for information" way too often.
