"Official" ESPN Coverage of WSOP Main Event: 10/18

Some posters seem to think ESPN's coverage of Day 1B was imcomplete because it didn't show Phil Helmuth's AK laydown. But, overall, I thought the coverage was good in building up to Raymer's great run.

Hellmuth wasn't shown last week. I guess we're still on expanded 1B coverage.

For those of us who actually type, we use the same finger (left middle) to strike the c and d keys. So, it's an easy mistake to make when you're typing casually.

BTW, typing is the one class I took in high school which has provided the most practical benefits.

They showed Hellmuth making his grand entrance in the 2nd hour last week. Since he got put to the TV table, they can highlight Negreanu/Farha one show, then Hellmuth this show.

at the end of 1B coverage last week I thought they specifically said "Hellmuth was among the survivors on day 1".

So I'm a bit confused about today's coverage (remember...they showed him getting out of the limo last week).
When they said this I thought that the hand that people were talking about maybe happened on day 2 or something.

I really don't know.

I think they are just expanding on their 1B coverage.
Perhaps their 1A coverage was a bit scattered (it was ESPN's first day running around in that big room too instead of just sitting at the same table the whole time).

Johnny Chan was low on chips at my table, and the cameras had occasionally stopped by....but they were nowhere to be seen when it was obvious that Chan was going to be all-in VERY soon (he was down to 3-4BB's) and they completely missed his exit.

I think the heavy-crowds there caused them some problems....and they just got better coverage on the next day.

Just a theory.

I was quite enjoying the more extensive coverage of single tables
