What to do with the river?
This was one of the last hands of a session for me. Not a good ending. I'm not sure if I played this hand well or not. I'll tell what the guy had after some responses. Sorry about the format this is in, but the hand converter wouldn't work. I tried to highlight the more important areas though.

Re: What to do with the river?
It was a good fold. Either he made the trips or had a set and made a boat.
I would've thrown a half pot to pot size bet on the flop though . . . |

Re: What to do with the river?
nearly always a good fold, no question
whether betting TPWK for value or checking it and trying to snapp off bets from 2nd pair or come hands is more +EV depends on the table, i'd guess. it was your choice, you chose what you thought was the best line, done. you lost the about the least amount you could have given the way the cards fell, that's just good poker. fim |
