OK...let me add that by "a little less aggressive that optimal" I meant a flop 3-bet and turn bet with KJ or AJ seemed quite unlikely. I folded. Comments?

given this information, how could you possibly fold?

I don't get your point

You are getting 10.75:1 on the turn.
According to your read, TAG has either
JT (6) hero have 2 outs
33 (3) "" 4 outs
hero has combined (24/9) ~2.7 outs, making the fold correct.

However, if you know he won't limp JTo UTG (only JTs), then it's very close between call/fold.
If JT is totally out, then calling will be correct with river implied odds.

Yeah, I guess I could have thought of a more interesting one to post. I guess I thought it was more interesting than it was just because of what I folded. But it isn't.

This makes it sound like it's trivial to you guys, but can you explain why call is so obvious? (I assume you agreed with Sthief)

I think he meant fold is obvious...as in how can you possibly call? That was pretty much my thinking during the hand and I guess it just felt closer than it was.

6/12 B&M hand, hero is CO with my favorite hold-em hand, suits don't matter.

UTG is a TAG, thinking, pretty solid, etc opponent but a little less aggressive than optimal.

MP is very loose and not very aggressive.

Preflop: UTG limps, MP limps, I raise, BB calls as does UTG and MP.

Flop is J-T-3 rainbow.

UTG bets, MP calls, I raise, BB folds, UTG 3-bets, MP calls, I call.

Turn is T completing rainbow.

UTG bets, MP calls, hero.........

[/ QUOTE ]

I think I'm calling down. QJs, KJ and AJ play this way. If he's a thinker, he could easily have you on AK or AQ. If he has JT....oh well.

Then I think a fold is OK. That said, I'm probably not man enough to do it.
