Limit vs. No-limit
I'm relatively new to the game. I've been playing NL Holdem for a few years after playing Limit Holdem for about 15 years before that.
Over the years I've played Omaha 8 but not very seriously. Finally the question: Is there the same value in playing no-limit/pot-limit vs. limit that there is in holdem? Specifically, can you can price draws out of pots and make it very expensive for loose players to call without proper values? Or, do the hands change so drastically from street to street that it's really of no added benefit to play big bet Omaha 8. As one pro-said; "no decent omaha 8 hand is that much better than any other hand" plus "the nature of your holdings change so drastically from street to street" Plus, when you play in a PL omaha 8 game and there is a maniac or 2 betting the pot on every street, do you go ahead and bet the pot with any premium holding? What's the best way to proceed in PL omaha vs those types of players in a ramming gane? Thanks |
