Default aces up overplay?

extremly loose game full of lags. two bets to the flop 90% of the time. one of the loosest games i've ever played. MP1 is a maniac and could very easily have a hand like KQ or a heart draw that he would play on the turn like he did.

$2/$4 on absolute.

i'm in mp3 with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

mp1 raises, hero three bets, co calls, mp1 calls.

*** FLOP ***

J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

mp1 checks, hero checks, co checks.

*** TURN ***

T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

mp1 checks, hero bets, co calls, mp1 raises, hero 3-bets, co folds, mp1 calls.

*** RIVER ***

9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

mp1 checks, hero bets, mp1 calls.

Why in God's name did you check the flop?

I hate this flop check. The game is loose and full of lags, I think you need to bet/3-bet this and pay off your strong hand. No point in slowplaying a bunch of donks.

In 6 handed top two pair is a monster. I play it the same, slow down if capped.

Because LAGs will do the betting for you 99% of the time. You just go along for the ride. This time though they didn't bet.

Yes, but he said MP1 is a maniac, and MP1 already checked the flop.

I assumed CO was a LAG too since he said game was full of LAGs. My bad.

I'm assuming this player is LAG'ish as well, or the poster proabably would have given a read. But I'm thinking there is a maniac behind that me checked, I want to ensure I open up the betting again and give him the opportunity to do what he does best.

This isn't the time to 'go along for the ride'. Bet and raise.
