Default Mysterious email from ebay

I just got this email from eBay:

"Dear eBay Member

We were unable to process your most recent payment. Did you recently change your bank, phone number or credit card?.
To ensure that your service is not interrupted, please update your billing information today by clicking here.

Or contact eBay Member Services Team. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you have recently updated your billing information, please disregard this message as we are processing the changes you have made.

Regards,
eBay Member Services Team"

The only time I've used eBay is maybe 4 years ago, when I bought a few things. I have never sold anything and I haven't recieved an email from them in the past 4 years. What does this mean?

It means that the link, really isnt to ebay, and someone in nigeria is trying to get your information. I would email/login into ebay, not the link provided to you....actually go to the site ebay.com, and figure things out from there.

...

Come on...you really need to ask if this is a scam?

If so, consider deleting your email account.

I get 20 of these a week - first time anyone's actually ever asked if it was real or not -

seeing as how I never use Ebay, I knew it was bogus - LOL - the paypal account I did use a couple times though, and they try to hit me with that a few times a week also -

Yes, please do this. Just log onto the real ebay and see check if everything is in order.

100% of the time, this is a scam from Nigeria. ESPECIALLY IF THEY PROVIDE A LINK TO A PAGE TO ENTER YOUR PERSONAL INFO!!!
