Thats a bummer. I hope you didn't have a balance that was confiscated. I was reading through the T&C just now and noticed they have the right to close any account you may have at any shared skin and confiscate funds in their sole discretion, after you get caught at any of their sites.

[ QUOTE ]
21. Forfeiture & Account Closure.

21.1 THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS UNFETTERED DISCRETION AND IN RELATION TO YOUR ACCOUNT, ANY RELATED ESP ACCOUNT, ANY ACCOUNTS YOU MAY HAVE WITH OTHER SITES AND/OR CASINOS AND/OR SERVICES OWNED OR OPERATED BY OR ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY AND ANY SERVICES THAT SHARE THE SHARED GAME/TABLE PLATFORM, TO WITHHOLD YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE, SUSPEND YOUR ACCOUNT, AND RECOVER ANY PAY-OUTS, BONUSES AND WINNINGS IF:

(i) You are in breach of any term of this Agreement;

(ii) The Company should become aware that you have played at any other online gaming site or services and are suspected of fraud, collusion or unlawful or improper activity;

So did you have any trouble at any of the other Party skins with account closures? It sounds like if you get caught at one then they can close all of them if they choose to do so. Even to the point of confiscating funds on all the skins according to their T&C's.

What I'm really pissed at is that they didn't send me a warning email first. They cashed out my balance (which was 4 figures) to neteller. I'll quote the email at the bottom of this post.

As of midnight Tuesday morning they've yet to respond to my email. Does anyone have the # for pay pro?

I bet if I get the account back open my July bonus is gone. Man I'm real pissed, if they're games weren't the place to play I'd be gone without thinking twice. They really don't give a sh*t about their customers. I've paid over 100,000 in rake, easy and this is how they treat me.

Re: Microbob -

I think a list is not in their best interests, because then it gives douches like PokerAce deniability to go and write their own HUDs and say "OMG it wasnt on the list!!1 LOLLERS you cant ban me ahaha im invincible" when in reality, you should refrain from using a program while running empire poker if you're in doubt.

Re: original poster -

I'm sorry your account got closed, as it sounds like you were pretty innocent on this one. and it sounds like you got your money back, which was a classy move by empire and correct at this point in the process IMO. later, once everyone knows it's banned, they can start seizing funds.

I am so glad that they are cracking down on this. more account closures pls, thx.

I just fired off another email to a bunch of different empire poker email addresses.

Very frustating, UB and Stars look highly appealing right now, I'd really like to take my business elsewhere.

To the OP: While I may be against HUDs, I never wanted to see something like this happen, and I'm sorry your account got closed. The email states they had previously emailed you about this issue. Is it possible you missed a warning one that got put in your junk folder and automatically/accidentally deleted? I think if one lesson can be learned from this it is to always actively check and make sure to read the emails at your email address for any sites you actively play at. I'm glad to hear that at least your funds weren't seized.

If you do wish to play further on party and skins I suggest abandoning the email idea, as we've all seen emails don't work. I'd say call Empire up and ask to speak to their security/legal department. State your case and see if they would be willing to reinstate your account. It may sound like a longshot, but I have heard instances of them reinstating accounts in the past. Good luck.

I figure if I'm actually going to add anything of substance to this thread it's that I'm glad they closed his account and cashed him out rather than confiscate his account balance like the T&C say they can.

Yeah seriously dude, low blow.

Anyway, since it looks like from the email that Empire thinks they sent a warning email, it means that they are starting to follow through on the warning emails (not just closing without warning).
