Default Raise the turn?

Should I raise the turn? I was a bit surprised when he bet but maybe he thought I raised on the flop for a free card.

I'd raise the turn. He could have a 4 or some low pocket pair waiting for a safe turn card to lead out.

Raise the turn and be prepared to fold to a 3-bet if he's passive.

Fold the turn if he's the type to only 3 bet this turn if he has a 6 or straight.

And for devil's sake, raise preflop!
