I'm pretty sure its only for the televised events. Don't know if this event is one of them. Try checking their website. Or you could just buy in through Harrah's.

It's right there on their site as well as on their web-page.

It's not just the TV events I don't think....but maybe that is how they are doing it.

Anyway, There are several events that you can buy into on Stars with your W$.

you have to purchase your seats 10 days in advance if you want to use your W$.

On the Stars site go to:
Events-tab --> WSOP --> Qualifiers

You can also read more about it on their web-page.

I'm already in the main-event and am planning on playing 7/1 in the $3k NL event.

If I REALLY get rolling then maybe I can also play in the 6/27 $5k limit hold-em event but right now that appears unlikely.

It's only the events expected to be televised. That allows Pokerstars to get publicity because you have to wear their logo gear when you buy in to these events with W$:

Hey Bob,

We need to meet up and say hi. I also will be playing the 7/1 event.

I sent email to stars a few days back about registering me in that event and havn't heard a peep back from them yet. I resent an email to them today.

Ohkanada - It takes 1-2 days to get a response from wsop@pokerstars. But I wouldn't worry. If it was partypoker you'd never hear anything at all.

No problem. I didn't wait to the last day so I am not really worried. But I would expect some acknowledgement.
