Re: Phil Ivey\'s Story
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i figured that he grew up playing hoops and eating cornbread and watermelon [/ QUOTE ] Would your mother be proud knowing that her son spends his time pretending to be racist on the internet to make other men upset? When you were a child and you thought of who you'd be as an adult is this it? Are you proud of what you've accomplished? Would your mother be proud? [/ QUOTE ] wow - first off, i'm black - secondly, my mother died when i was 7 - and thirdly, don't be such a douche. i was making a somewhat self-deprecating comment about my culture, and you (who is probably white) thinks he can tell me what IS racist and what ISN'T racist. until you've lived the life i have, you don't KNOW what racism is. |

Re: Phil Ivey\'s Story
My understanding is that Phil as a half million dollar bet with Eric Lindgren that Phil will beat him in a round of golf (or was it 72 holes, I'm not sure) sometime in the next 10 years. I used to be a golf pro, and I've never seen Lindgren play, but Phil is going to need ALL TEN YEARS to make that bet .

Erick & Josh looked absolutely terrible if that means anything to you. |

Re: Phil Ivey\'s Story
Thank you,
This was a very interesting story/interview. One part I really got a kick out of is when Phil talked about how he had to "grind it out" at the $75/100 stud games during the week just to take a shot at the $400/800 stud games on the weekend. |

Re: Phil Ivey\'s Story
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] What is wrong with what he said? I grew up playing basketball and eating corn bread/watermelon. Im of European descent and im not offended by what he has said nor is there anything racist about it. [/ QUOTE ] Go to Harlem and say what he said....see what happens... [/ QUOTE ] What the hell do you mean "see what happens?" Aren't you being a bit stereotypical to assume that random black people are going to rough him up if he says something offensive. Because I bet black people in Harlem do that. They beat white people up. All the time. [/ QUOTE ] unless you buy hemp from them, then you may be allowed to holla at their hot biatches. |

Re: Phil Ivey\'s Story
I think he also said that Jay Heimowitz personnaly kept him broke for like a year when Phil would grind out the 100-200 or so and take shots in the 300-600, where Jay would pwn him.
