He wrote "Theory of Poker" and "Sklansky on Poker Theory" on different games, Stud, holdem, razz. I sense that you're joking right? Hard to read the tone in your post.

bruiser,

skanskly wrote many of these ideas a long time. what is common sense to us as poker players today was not back then.

he also introduced concepts such as the "semibluff" and a solid starting hand chart.

You seem to have muddled your original opinion with this interesting follow-up post. I am not saying that I agree or disagree with said opinion. But you need to come up with better stuff than this:

supersystem

[/ QUOTE ]
Uh, ok. Is that an author?

[ QUOTE ]
most posters on this site

[/ QUOTE ]
What percentage of the posters on this site would you stake to play in the party 30/60?

[ QUOTE ]
practically everyone.

[/ QUOTE ]
Is this everyone on earth?

Sounds like a little bit of reductio ad absurdum to me. Did you forget to check-raise some rivers or something?

Yeah, good point, retard. Obviously I am talking about Doyle Brunson here.

I am not saying he isn't a good writer, I read his books a couple times each, but his stuff is kind of mundane and nothing special.

A while ago DS wrote that he had not had much experience playing no-limit poker, because of lack of nl-games during the last 20 years. I'm just wondering how he can have a book about nl comming out if he has not played it much????
