Wow, this is tough. No way does an unsupervised 10-year old not look at something that cool.

It is surprising that none of the other kids had any eye damage so it does make you wonder if maybe there was more supervsion than the plaintiff would have us believe?

Everyone loses here, especially the kid.

Poor kid, first he has jacked up teeth and now only 1 eye. This is how serial killers are created.

Closing one eye, he looked directly at the sun with the other. "I could see that there was a bit out of the bottom of the sun and thought it was cool," said Conor. "I looked at it for about a minute."

How can anyone look at the sun that long, especially during an eclipse, and not expect to have damage to your eye? He deserves to be blind.

He's 10 you stupid [censored]tard.

The school is not to blame though. If we didn't have a sun no one could look at it during an eclipse and burn out their eye(s). The parents need to sue the sun.

Its much EASIER to look at the sun during an eclipse. Thus the warnings not to look at it during one. It probably wasnt hurting his eyes much at all.

It doesnt have to be just one person/entity that is responsible for all the blame. I would say that the school deserves abotu 80% of the blame for letting the kids outside during an eclipse.
