Default Why not \"Win by Two\"?

I think the World Series (and other playoff series in Baseball and other sports) would be better if there were a requirement that the winner win by a margin of at least two games.

In other words, the series would end when the game count is:
4-0
4-1
4-2
5-3
6-4
7-5
etc.

I know a series could drag on a bit occasionally, but is there any other reason not to do it this way?

Blame the wildcard for November games. Maybe we should undo that change.

Sounds like a very bad idea. No way would I want to watch 12 game world series.

Maybe not, but it would be weird if there an elimination game everyother game. A game seven is much more final, more...emotion...maybe not the world I am looking for but I hope you get what I mean.

That would totally kill the game 7 drama. Game 7s are awesome. I don't like this idea.
