Did you have any kind of read on UTG?

Against an unknown Party 3/6 player I'd still bet the turn and call down the CR unimproved.

Why? You're giving a butt-load of hands a free card to outdraw you here. AQ, AJ, TT, 99 could all have capped preflop and they might have a single spade in their hand too. Bet the turn and call down a check-raise.

Bet the turn. HU, your hand is good here more often than not, and I don't like the idea of giving someone a free card with a 3-flush on board.

I like it. he's not likely to have a T, and if he has TT, you (1) might've gotten him to call the river, and (2) he would've called anyway with his OESD. figuring he either has AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, or occasionally TT or AQ, I think betting is probably not a good idea. the only hands you beat are TT and AQ.

I think the people who responded to your post are being results-oriented. you'll get check-raised here like 90% of the time. headsup, you can afford to give free cards. you have outs and you're probably not ahead, so you should check.

Any slight use of hand reading will favor me not being ahead on turn here against a PF capper. What do you put my opponent on that I have to bet the turn "because I have TPTK"?

Capping hands you are behind: AA, KK, QQ, JJ(?)
Capping hands you are tied with: AK

Which of these hands would you cold call on the flop in his position, or not bet on the turn? I'd say 0. My slight use of hand reading says he's overplayed his hand and does not like that flop. My guesses are TT, 99, AQ or AJ.

Sure, maybe he's just being tricky, but I think you've made it obvious you're not folding. If he had a hand, he'd be playing it.

I figured he would be out with AK and checkraise the turn with the rest.

Against an unknown opponent during one of my first orbits, I don't like banking on the whim that he overplayed his 99 or AJ and capped preflop... I think this would be a costly error in the long run.

I am not trying to berate you in any way, but I am curious as to why you consider him overplaying his hand after a mere flop check?
