A new move for me
Howdy,
Comments on all streets appreciated here. I really am not sure if this was good play or fishy play! Everyone at the table has been fairly passive preflop, and tight postflop. Looking forward to getting told off, Guy. Re: A new move for me
I think your play is fine on all streets. Hands like this are pretty easy to play because if your opponent shows any aggression they are easy to get away from.

Re: A new move for me
I don't see why you should bet such a feeble fraw into four people on the flop. You have seven alleged outs but they are so junky with a paired two-tone flop and weak kicker for your ace.
Bet the river and expect an ace to call. Made pairs bet paired flops. You probably would have heard from almost any better hand by now except maybe a pair of eights. |

Re: A new move for me
What is the problem here exactly?
The play is passive preflop--a perfect spot to limp with Axs The play is tight postflop-If this means people will fold no draw overcards your bet seems good to me. Once you pick up the pair on the turn I'm definitlely betting. And unless the play is so tight someone might fold a 5/small PP here the river check looks reasonable but I think I still bet the river. |

"Everyone at the table has been fairly passive preflop, and TIGHT postflop."
This is an excellent reason to bet...people might fold and if he wants he can take the likely free card on the turn. |

[/ QUOTE ] Those are valid points. This sounds like a good table to semibluff. But remember he is also quite likely to get checkraised with four straight outs in his hand. In some ways this would be a better bet with just overcards because you can just dump the hand and not look back. I also don't expect him to get a free card in the event someone hits an overcard on the turn. I am still leaning toward taking the free card and folding if I don't improve. This a hard flop to bet four players off of. |

Re: A new move for me
I'd play it the same, which I think has already been said.
