this is just a sanity check. i believe i played this river correctly. i just want to confirm myself. given the turn action, no one here would possibly bet this river correct? MP3 has got to be a complete idiot to not bet his hand on the river

I would fully expect it to be bet, as well...

One good reason to bet is that you're most likely to check raise MP3 and fold out UTG+1 (there's a good chance he'd call though, based on that turn action). What you really want to happen is bet, call, raise, 3-bet. Main thing to think about is: don't worry about this hand. You'll only get a chance to check raise rivered quads on a flush board every so often.

But there will be times for full houses, or rivered flushes versus straights, etc, so these posts do have some value.

But there is NO REASON not to bet the river. If you think someone is likely to bet, after the turn action they should also be likely to raise since that street was CAPPED. Also keep in mind how disguised your hand is. You have played the hand very strongly up until now, so they should NOT put you on Quads, and may not think full house.

think about the times a nut flush will raise/call you when you bet out here
think about the times a boat (which looks possible) will cap you

I think you have definitely have to bet the river dude i still think you'll often get 2 bets on the river
